In 2012, at the age of 35, I was diagnosed with breast cancer despite having no family history of the disease. It was a life-changing experience that thrust me into a whirlwind of treatments. This realisation led me to explore natural ways to restore balance in my body. I focused on mental health, emotional healing, and making mindful choices about the food I ate and the products I used, believing that the mind-body connection was key to healing.

My journey also led to the founding of the HELLO BEAUTIFUL FOUNDATION with Kevin, my business partner. Together, we wanted to change the conversation around cancer, focusing on beauty in transformation and the strength found in scars. We created HELLO LOVE, a wellness space in Bloomsbury, London, combining an organic café, holistic treatments, and art to support cancer patients and those seeking a healthier lifestyle. Through various workshops and services, we promote a non-toxic approach to health, encouraging mindfulness, nutrition, and social responsibility.

After making significant changes to my lifestyle, I felt
confident that I didn’t need traditional treatments. My oncologist disagreed,
warning me that I was risking my life, but I was committed to my holistic
approach. Over time, I found that practices like Qi Gong were vital to my
recovery. After four years of dedicated practice, I overcame lymphedema, a
condition my oncologist said I would have for life. This healing was a
testament to the power of the mind-body connection and the body’s ability to detoxify
