How To Use
Oils & Your Skin
Our collections of moisturising oils and balms deeply nourish the skin, provide a protective barrier and help to lock in water, keeping the skin hydrated for longer.
Balms and oils are a great alternative to face creams and body creams. Water based creams often require chemical additives to preserve the products and maximise shelf life. In contrast, oils have the unique ability to capture and store specific liposoluble botanical ingredients such as herbal extracts and essential oils, which act as natural preservatives, meaning extra additives are not necessary.
Oil-based skincare is suitable for all skin types including oily.
Oil-based products help to balance the skin sebum and avoid the overproduction of oil which can often be the result of over scrubbing and cleansing.
Inlight products are easily absorbed without leaving any oily surplus, leaving your skin perfectly nourished, silky and radiant. MORE INFO HERE.
How to apply our products:
Balms
Using the spatula included with each jar, apply just a pearl-size of product to the skin and massage gently, in a circular motion to help stimulate circulation, until fully absorbed.
Tip: For the face balms, start from under the chin slowly moving towards the forehead spending more time around problematic areas. The balms will naturally melt into your hand/skin.
Suitable for Vegetarians.
Oils
For the Face Oils
2-5 drops is all you need. We suggest warming the oil with your fingertips before applying it to the face. Massage gently in circular motions not forgetting the contour and neck.
For the Body Oils
1-2 pumps should be enough but do use as much as your skin desires and wants to absorb.
The skin will only absorb as much as it needs.
Suitable for all skin types including oily and sensitive.
Suitable for Vegans.
Why would you dilute nature?
We don’t use any water in our products because water can only dilute the other ingredients, has no inherent nourishment, and quickly evaporates. In all ancient traditions worldwide oils have been used to protect, moisten and nourish the skin, the reason being that oils are very similar to the skin sebum, one of the components of the skin’s hydrolipidic layer whose function is to protect the skin from the outside. Therefore oils are recognized both chemically and energetically by our body and interact positively with the other compounds on our skin. The oils we choose, all very rich in omega 3 & 6, also have the ability to transport the beneficial ingredients of the herbs we use and make them available for our skin.
