Focusing on the positives - Farewell 2020
This year took everyone by surprise. There have been plenty of challenges and difficulties we have had to face as individuals, as families, businesses as a country and the world; There are still hurdles to overcome, however we know we are stronger when working together! The acts of kindness seen this year have been phenomenal and have given hope and strength to whom need it most.
As the end of 2020 approaches, we wanted to take this opportunity to look back and reflect on the achievements and positive impact this year has brought to us personally at Inlight:
LOCKDOWN Most of our team were able to work on a rota through lockdown, meaning the business could still function to make our artisanl products. The extra time at home meant we could be with our families and children, something that would not have happened in any other circumstance.
NHS BALMS We made 2000 bespoke Soothing Balms to donate to NHS workers within our community. We kept getting lovely feedback regarding our Calendula & Damask Rose balm for sore and dry hands and faces (due to PPE wearing) it was wonderful to be able to give a little back to our frontline workers who went above and beyond to keep u safe.
POSITIVE LUXURY Dr Spiezia's ongoing efforts, work and contribution towards a sustainable and positive change in the beauty & wellness industry, was recognised by Positive Luxury in 2020 where he was Shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement Award.

BABY SUSSEX We were asked to be official contributors to the Baby Sussex Book – only a handful of brands have been included in the book which marked Archie’s first birthday. This was a great honour.
SAVE THE BEES We purchased a beehive as part of a conservation project with Black’s Cornish Bees – this will help biodiversity and maintain a healthy number of Cornish black bees.
WELLNESS We were able to focus more on wellness blogs and collaborate with yoga instructors to bring you videos to follow from home – aimed at mental and physical health.
NEW LAUNCHES Despite the odds, we launched two new ranges: Inlight Baby and Inlight Men. The vegan friendly ranges complement our core products. The feedback has been incredible so far including the Baby Range being tried & tested and recommended by The Modern Midwife. In November we officially supported the Movember campaign by donating a percentage of all Men Range sales to the foundation which supports Men’s cancers and mental health.
We also launched a Skincare Essential Set with our wholesome trio of Cleanser, tonic and face oil in trial size. We feel this is a great intro to the brand for anyone wanting to explore waterless, organic beauty.
HQ MOVE We moved premises! Mixes feeling were had by all leaving Roskilly’s farm after 14 years there.
With your continued support we managed to thrive despite this strange year. We simply had no more room to grow and wanted to find the right place to be more sustainable and that allowed the brand to expand. As often in life (and indeed through the history of Inlight) opportunities came knocking and after months to adapt the new building to our needs, we were able to move.
Our new premises will allow our carbon footprint to be reduced, give us room to grow and use 100% green energy.
There are so many other things we could list that we are thankful for…
