As of this week you can now buy your very own Inlight Beauty Bag – the lining of which is cut from a Spinnaker that was otherwise destined for the bin. We source all the Spinnakers we use locally and have them cut in Cornwall too.

A spinnaker is a light-weight sail designed to sail with the direction of the wind. The extremely thin material makes the sail a fragile one. This doesn't however, mean that it's not durable.

Even with the very best effort, a spinnaker has a limited life span, often much shorter than the other sails on the boat. Once it's no longer usable as a sail, it is not a biodegradable material and therefore creates a huge amount of waste which is often why they are found gathering dust in lofts and garages everywhere. The light-weight, wipeable material, is the perfect lining for our Oeko-Tex Cotton bags. In turn the perfect addition to any sustainable beauty collection.
